🛡️ NFPA Inspections
Conduct compliant inspections and maintain accurate records for fire protection systems using Fire Fill’s digital tools.
📑 Overview
The NFPA Inspections workflow is integrated into the Service Request process to ensuring adherence to safety standards. This guide covers:
- Conducting Inspections: Using mobile-friendly digital checklists.
- Logging Results: Capturing pass/fail status and maintenance notes.
- Generating Compliance Reports: Creating official PDF certificates.
🔍 Inspection Process
-
Initiate Inspection:
- Create a new Service Request or open an existing one.
- Select the product or system being inspected (e.g., Fire Extinguisher, Sprinkler System).
-
Verify Information:
- Check the Quantity and Capacity/Type of equipment.
- Ensure the Client Location is correct.
-
** Perform Checks:**
- While physically inspecting the item, verify its condition against standard requirements (pressure gauge, hose condition, seal integrity, weight, etc.).
- Note: The app allows you to record these details implicitly through the service status and detailed notes field.
- Record Outcome:
- Pass: If the equipment meets standards, proceed to mark the request as Done.
- Fail/Maintenance Needed: If issues are found, note them in the request (e.g., “Hose needs replacement”) or create a follow-up order for repairs.
⚠️ Expiration Tracking
- Set Expiration Date: When finalizing an inspection, ensure the Expiration Date is set correctly (typically 1 year from the service date for standard inspections).
- Monitoring: Use the Statistics dashboard to track upcoming expirations (“Safety Alerts”). The system will automatically notify you of items nearing their next inspection date.
📄 Reporting
Once the inspection is complete and the request is marked Done:
- Use the Print feature to generate a Certificate.
- The certificate serves as the official record of the inspection, including:
- Service Date
- Expiration Date
- Technician/Store Information
- Client Details & Location
- QR Code for verification
