Efficiently track products, suppression agents, spare parts, and stock levels in Fire Fill to ensure operational readiness.

๐Ÿ“Š Overview

The Inventory Management module allows you to:

  • Add new items including fire extinguishers, CO2 cylinders, foam concentrates, and spare parts.
  • Track Expiration: Monitor shelf life for suppression agents and hydro-test dates.
  • Manage Categories: Organize inventory (e.g., Portable Extinguishers, Hoses, Valves).
  • Stock Adjustments: Real-time updates for refills and new stock.
  • Barcode Integration: Scan items for quick lookup and inventory audits.

๐Ÿ”‘ Accessing Inventory

To access the Inventory Management screen:

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard.
  2. Click on the Inventory (or Storage) icon in the bottom navigation bar or the side menu.

โž• Adding a New Item

  1. Click the Add Product button (floating action button with a + icon).
  2. Fill in the required details:
    • Name: e.g., โ€œ6kg Powder ABCโ€.
    • Category: Select from preset fire safety categories.
    • Price: Set the service/selling price.
    • Cost: Set the unit cost for profit calculation.
    • Stock: Enter current physical count.
    • Expiration Date: Critical for compliance tracking.
    • Barcode: Scan the manufacturerโ€™s code or generate an internal QR code.
  3. Save the item.

  1. In the Inventory list, find the product you want to edit.
  2. Tap on the product to open its details.
  3. Click the Edit icon (pencil).
  4. Update pricing, stock, or description.
  5. Save your changes.

Warning: Deleting a product is permanent and may affect historical order data.

  1. Swipe left on the product item (on mobile) or click the Delete icon.
  2. Confirm the deletion.

You can quickly update stock levels directly from the product list:

  • Use the + and - buttons for quick adjustments.
  • Run a โ€œStock Takeโ€ to reconcile physical inventory with the system.

The system proactively manages safety:

  • Low Stock: Alerts when items dip below your defined minimum threshold.
  • Expiring Inventory: Dashboard warnings for items nearing their end of life (e.g., foam concentrates expiring in 30 days).

๐Ÿ” Searching and Filtering

  • Search Bar: Global search by name, SKU, or brand.
  • Scanner: Use the camera to scan a barcode and instantly find the item.
  • Filters: Sort by Category, Stock Status (In Stock/Out of Stock), or Expiration Date.
